Recent developments...How is it responding to the 'new media' age?

Disney is involved in alot of media institutions. Before, it just used to produce sketches and comedies but because of changing media it has become involved in alot more other companies to keep the disney corporation going. For example as stated in the history of walt disney the company teams up with a famous video game company squaresoft and produces a video game in order to keep up with changing technology. It also kept up with videos and dvd's. As disney is a versitile company it is very easy for them to fit into new ideas that have come up.Its wide audience and well known status gives them the oportunity to respond well to the new media age
